Matthew Higgins Wins $1 Million at 2026 WSOP Mystery Millions
Matthew Higgins made history at the 2026 World Series of Poker Mystery Millions event, securing a $1 million prize and his first WSOP bracelet. Higgins, a nine-time WSOP Circuit ring winner, navigated a tough final table that included notable players such as Dominik Panka, Thomas Hall, and David ‘ODB’ Baker.
The event, with a $1,000 buy-in, attracted 22,811 entrants and offered multiple bounty prizes. These included a $1 million bounty won by Jonathan Schiller, two $500,150 bounties, three $250,000 bounties, and ten $100,000 bounties. Kiat Lee, a Triton Super High Roller regular, turned his $1,000 buy-in into a $250,000 bounty prize.
Higgins' victory was marked by strategic plays and eliminations. He eliminated the 14th, 12th, and 11th place finishers to take the chip lead over Panka. In the final stages, Higgins eliminated Leo Lombardozzi in third place and secured his win against Dominik Panka, who finished as the runner-up with $640,000.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
