Katoomba Man Wins AU$1 Million Lottery Prize on His Birthday

A lottery player from Katoomba, New South Wales, won AU$1 million on his birthday. The winner purchased his ticket at Katoomba Newsagency, Shop 1 at 101 Katoomba Street in Katoomba. The winner was one of two division one winners from The Lott’s Weekday Windfall recent drawing.

The winner scored the life-changing jackpot on his birthday. The winner didn't check the lottery ticket on his birthday, which was on the same day as the Weekday Windfall drawing. The winner contacted The Lott the next day, on Thursday, when he realized that he had just won AU$1m.

The owner of the retail outlet that sold the winning entry is Simardeep Singh. Singh said, “When I woke up this morning and saw the results, I was so excited that my shop had sold another winning ticket.”
