Justin Bonomo Claims First Poker Masters Title in Epic Showdown
Justin Bonomo has won his first PokerGO Poker Masters title by defeating Daniel Rezeai. This victory is particularly notable because Bonomo, who is the second highest all-time money winner in poker with $62,395,480, had never won one of these events before.
At the final table, Bonomo started with almost half of the chips. His opponents included Chino Rheem, Andrew Lichtenberger, and Stephen Chidwick, all of whom had recently won their own events. Despite the strong competition, Bonomo dominated the late stages, eliminating each opponent one by one until only Daniel Rezeai remained.
In a crucial hand, the blinds were 30,000/60,000 with a 60,000 BB ante. Rezeai, with J8o, competed in the small blind while Bonomo raised to 210k in the big blind with A8s. The flop came down 9s 4s 7d, and Bonomo bet 300k, which Rezeai called. The turn was the 7c, and Bonomo checked. Rezeai led out for 325k, but Bonomo called. The river was the 5d, and Bonomo checked again. Rezeai followed through, sensing that Bonomo couldn't have much. Bonomo declared, "I really think you're bluffing me here. I have to call." This hand put Bonomo back in the driving seat, and he quickly went on to wrap up the victory, winning $333,000 for his efforts.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
