Juan Pardo Wins Best Hand of the Year 2023 for Folding Kings
Juan Pardo, a professor at MTT Project, won the award for the best hand of the year 2023.
In the Triton Poker Series of London, Juan Pardo made a memorable fold. In the FT ‘Malaka’ he received Kings and decided to fold after Jean Noel Thorel announced he would go all-in. Thorel had Aces, making Pardo's fold a bold and accurate decision.
Juan Pardo's fold was awarded the best hand of the year 2023 in the Global Poker Awards.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
