Johnny Lodden Accuses Mohammad Kowsari of Cheating in Online Poker
Johnny Lodden, a renowned high-stakes poker player, found himself in the midst of a controversy involving allegations of cheating in online poker. In an interview with Pokernews, Lodden accused Fast Freddy, whom he identified as Mohammad Kowsari, of hacking into his computer to see his hole cards during their online games.
Lodden's accusations stemmed from a significant loss he incurred in June 2006, when he lost a record-breaking bank of $465,411 to Fast Freddy. Lodden was particularly surprised by the loss, as he had previously considered Fast Freddy one of the weaker players at those limits. The allegations of hacking raised serious concerns within the poker community, with many players speculating about the extent of such cheating practices.
In response to the allegations, Mohammad Kowsari, also known as The Terrorist, denied any wrongdoing. He stated that Erik123, a skilled Omaha player, was using his nickname on Full Tilt Poker. Kowsari also mentioned that he had invited Lodden to a series of live one-on-one matches in Barcelona to resolve the issues, but Lodden opted for an interview instead. The controversy has left the poker community divided, with some players supporting Lodden's claims and others defending Kowsari's innocence.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
