GGPoker's Missing Piece: Why No Mixed Games in 2026?

GGPoker, the largest online poker network in the world, has a surprising omission: mixed games. Despite its dominance, the platform does not offer these games, leaving many players wondering why. GGPoker's parent company owns the WSOP brand, and the platform is packed with features such as built-in staking, an integrated HUD, advanced tracking tools, and many gamified features. It also offers unique formats like Mystery Battle Royale, Flip & Go, and All-In or Fold.

GGPoker has never struggled with player pool or liquidity, reporting traffic figures several times larger than its nearest rivals. The platform has established relationships with live poker tours worldwide, run online qualifiers into major events across Europe, Asia, and Latin America, and secured licenses in numerous regulated jurisdictions. Notably, GGPoker signed Daniel Negreanu as a brand ambassador and partnered with WSOP in 2020, with its parent company NSUS acquiring the WSOP brand.

Despite the frequent requests for mixed games on GGPoker's Reddit server, the platform has not yet introduced them. GGPoker acknowledges that mixed games are frequently requested and will be introduced eventually. However, the company states that mixed games are not widely played and are almost exclusively played by a niche group of experienced poker players. This reasoning is surprising given that PokerStars, which has a smaller player base, has offered mixed games for decades. The WSOP, which GGPoker's parent company owns, awards bracelets in formats such as HORSE, Badugi, Stud, Dealer’s Choice, 2-7 Single Draw Lowball, and 8-Game Mix, highlighting the importance of mixed games in the poker community.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
