FourSixFour Reflects on 2019 Goals and Sets New Challenges for 2020
Poker player FourSixFour and his friend George 'you-mad-br0' Frogatt are leading trainers at bitBCash and occasionally record a podcast.
FourSixFour set ambitious goals for 2019, including playing 500k hands in online cash games and entering $500k in online MTT buy-ins. However, he fell short of these targets, playing around 420k hands and spending approximately $240k on buy-ins. Despite these setbacks, FourSixFour successfully maintained a table of all preparation stages for grinding, including warm-up, meditation, and general preparations.
In addition to his poker goals, FourSixFour aimed to improve his German language skills, cooking abilities, and reading habits. He studied German diligently but rarely used it outside of lessons. He made significant progress in cooking, culminating in preparing a Christmas dinner for seven people with his girlfriend. FourSixFour read an average of one book per month but still has a large stack of unread books. He spent a lot of time on climbing and had only a few long breaks in his sports activities. FourSixFour kept a journal at an absolute minimum but bought a new one for 2020 and plans to use it more.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
