Flutter Entertainment Shuts Down Betfair in Italy Due to Regulatory Changes
Flutter Entertainment has confirmed that it will be winding down the operations of its Betfair brand, along with Betfair Exchange, Sportsbook, and Casino in Italy.
The company has cited the recent review of Italian gambling regulations in November 2025 as the reason why the move has been necessitated.
The biggest factor for Betfair is the fact that all of its brands in Italy would have been required to hold a separate license, instead of a joint operator license that is then allowed to run multiple brands.
