The Evolution of the NFL Logo: A Timeline of Changes
The National Football League (NFL) logo, with its iconic shield design, is one of the most recognizable sports images in the world. The logo was introduced around 1940 to unify the league's teams and create a common representation. The original NFL logo featured 22 stars and stripes in two alternate colors. Between 1950 and the early 1960s, the stripes were replaced by pinstripes.
In the 1960s, the logo removed the pinstripes and colors from the text area, keeping a white background. In the 1980s, the logo was tweaked with a thicker blue border and a brighter monogram, featuring 23 stars. In 2008, the logo was revised to include only eight stars, representing the eight divisions of the league.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
