Eric Seidel: The Poker Pro with a Passion for Music
Eric Seidel, a nine-time WSOP bracelet winner, has a deep passion for music. During the heyday of Full Tilt, Seidel created a personal page on the platform, where he shared his music playlist instead of writing about poker. He stated, “I am obsessed with music.”
Seidel's musical journey began in the 1960s, influenced heavily by his parents. His mother, who had a good taste in music, played a significant role in his musical upbringing. Seidel's younger brother Steve introduced him to the group Florence + the Machine, which made a significant impression on him. Seidel even flew to London for the presentation of their first album.
Seidel's niece continues the family's musical legacy by hosting a weekly radio show called “Music From My Dad” on the student radio of the University of California. Seidel prefers to listen to jazz or classical music while playing poker, finding that these genres help him stay focused and uninterrupted.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
