DraftKings expands Electric Poker in three US states
DraftKings Electric Poker in three states
DraftKings initially launched Electric Poker in Michigan in 2024, and as of July 8, 2025 the game became available also in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Now players from all three states share a common player pool, which increases liquidity and reduces waiting time at the tables.
Game features
Electric Poker is a fast three‑hand no‑limit hold’em tournament with real players. Added to the standard rules are:
- a random prize pool determined by a multiplier;
- two‑level blind levels every two minutes;
- a special "electric mode" that adds dynamism;
- other enhancements that make the game more exciting.
Market context
This expansion makes DraftKings the fifth company to join the multi‑state internet gaming agreement (MSIGA), alongside PokerStars, WSOP Online, BetMGM/partypoker, and BetRivers. A company spokesperson, Signe Yama, noted that the new game will improve the player experience and attract new customers thanks to DraftKings’ unique approach to traditional poker.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
