Daniel Negreanu's Brutal Beat: Close Call at WSOP Bracelet Tournament
Daniel Negreanu, the eight-time bracelet winner, once again found himself at the business-end of a high-stakes WSOPO event with the gold within reach. He streamed his run in the 2026 World Series of Poker Online $25,000 no-limit hold'em high roller championship, offering unparalleled access to tens of thousands of poker fans.
Negreanu was in third chip position among the last nine players at the final table. Roman Samoilov was the first to fall at the final table, losing a flip with pocket threes against the A-K suited of bracelet winner Pedro Neves. Negreanu landed the next knockout blow with pocket Queens against Parahat Nurmuhammedov.
Negreanu had a chance to score a double knockout with seven players remaining, but Roman Emelyanov and Ole Schemion both went out. Negreanu soon doubled, with pocket fives outracing K-Q for Neves. However, Negreanu was eventually eliminated in fourth place, earning $415,700. With this score, Negreanu will tick over $60.4 million in recorded earnings, putting him back on top as the highest-earning Canadian player in tournament poker history and in 10th on the overall all-time money list.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
