CoinPoker's New Poker Client: A Hidden Backstory and Big Upgrades
CoinPoker has launched a new poker client with a surprising backstory. The software is built on technology developed by PokerBaazi, an Indian poker site. The new client went live on March 2 after around 12 hours of downtime. The new client includes a built-in HUD, analytics tools like PokerIntel, and features such as Showdown Meter and Skill Score. Game variety has expanded to include formats like PLO6, Bomb Pots, and All-In or Fold. The new client also includes practical additions like Run It Multiple Times, EV Cashout, Chip Offload, and a Strength Indicator.
PokerBaazi was forced to stop real-money operations in August 2025 due to a government ban on online games played for real money. This left PokerBaazi with a sophisticated poker client but no real-money ecosystem to run it in. CoinPoker appears to have adopted this platform, which had already been developed and tested over time, instead of building one from the ground up.
Despite the upgrades, CoinPoker's new client has received some criticism for crashes, lag, and issues with the cashier. Some players have also expressed concerns about potential security vulnerabilities, though CoinPoker has responded quickly to these issues.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
