CoinPoker's Global Online Poker Championship Kicks Off with $50M Prize Pool
CoinPoker launched its Global Online Poker Championship over the weekend, featuring a combined $50 million guaranteed prize pool across the whole schedule. The 37-day series features over 700 events across three regions and runs through Sept. 28.
The festival is anchored by a $3 million guaranteed Main Event with a $530 buy-in. It is supported by a $1 million guaranteed Global Main with a $55 buy-in and a $250,000 guaranteed Mini Main with an $11 buy-in.
Despite a brief technical disruption, they crowned the first few champions, including one of the game’s most feared players taking down the high roller. Jesse Lonis scored the series’ first title, topping 83 players in the $5,200 no-limit hold’em high roller on the opening day of the series. He secured $153,400 and a Gold GOPC medal. The field featured several top poker pros, including Patrick Leonard, Benjamin ‘Bencb’ Rolle, and Seth Davies. Alejandro Lococo also played the event before his scheduled Las Vegas appearance on PokerGO’s High Stakes Poker alongside CoinPoker ambassador Yoh Viral.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
