ClubWPT Gold is making waves in Las Vegas with a new marketing campaign during the World Series of Poker (WSOP). The company has launched digital billboards along the Las Vegas Strip, promoting its platform as a training tool for poker players rather than a sweepstakes-style online poker room.
The largest of these digital signs is prominently displayed above several restaurants connected to the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood, about a block from the Horseshoe and Paris, where the WSOP is held. The signage features a woman on a toilet holding her phone, with the message: “Bringing Poker Training Direct To You.” Other signs around the Las Vegas Strip convey a similar message, emphasizing the platform's new focus on poker training.
The new business model, adopted in 2025, involves selling poker training credits instead of offering free-to-play games and Gold Coins. This shift was in response to numerous states, including California, banning sweepstakes operators. The platform now sells a service rather than offering traditional sweepstakes gaming. Some experts, however, argue that this model may still not comply with laws in states like California.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
