Brendon Adams Concedes Defeat in Galfond Challenge Against Phil Galfond
Brendon Adams, a Harvard graduate and American poker player, has conceded defeat in the Galfond Challenge against Phil Galfond. The challenge, which initially started in a live format, faced a conflict between the two players regarding the use of the time bank during hands. Adams accused Galfond of intentionally delaying the game on each street by pulling the time bank, while Galfond countered that Adams was doing similar things.
The conflict was resolved by inviting two arbiters, Isaac Haxton and Max Silver, who recalculated the remaining time in terms of the number of hands. The challenge returned to an online format with new conditions, determining the number of hands to be played at 10,000. However, the players only managed to play 2,900 hands, with Galfond leading by 270,000$.
Brendon Adams conceded defeat in the Galfond Challenge. Phil Galfond announced Adams' concession in a post on Twitter. Galfond, the founder of Run It Once Poker, is now preparing for a rematch with Daniel Kayts, with a distance of 7,500 hands at the limits of 100€/200€. Kayts has threatened to make a 'shish-kebab' out of Galfond in this rematch.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
