Aussie Millions 2016: Superbarrel vs. Bond18 - The Final Table
The Aussie Millions tournament has always held a special place in the hearts of poker enthusiasts. In 2007, Gus Hansen wrote a book about his victory, which taught poker skills to a generation of players. In 2008, Alexander Kostritsyin made history by winning the tournament at a young age, defeating Erik Seidel in the heads-up final.
The final table of the 2016 Aussie Millions featured eight players, including three Australians: Dylan Hanimen from Perth, Alexander Linsky from Brisbane, and John Apostolidis from Melbourne. Toni Dunst from Las Vegas made a notable comeback, while Samantha Abernathy and Kitty Quo represented the female players. Ari Engel, a super veteran of online poker, also made it to the final table.
Toni Dunst, known for his career as a host and showman, made a significant comeback in Melbourne. He lost a 5,000-chip and decided not to play, but Mike McDonald gave him a freeroll for a small percentage of the prize. Ari Engel, known as BodogAri, showcased his online poker skills and made strategic moves throughout the tournament. The prize pool for the first place was A$1,600,000.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
