Atlantic City Poker Player Wins $1.7M and Tips Dealers $77K
A poker player at Harrah's Resort Atlantic City won $1,681,458 on a progressive poker table with a $5 bet. The player became a millionaire just a few days before Christmas. She showed that Christmas truly is the season for giving by tipping the dealers $77,000. Michael Zippel, Harrah's Atlantic City Director of Table Games, stated that the tip was jaw-dropping. Earlier this year, another New Jersey resident won $1.1 million on a progressive poker game at Tropicana Atlantic City and tipped $50,000 to the dealers.
New Jersey and Michigan will combine their virtual player pools for PokerStars starting January 2023. Severin Rasset, PokerStars U.S. managing director, stated that the combination will provide a better experience and more value for players.
New Jersey is one of the top states for poker players, both in live action at casinos and online. This move is expected to bring more action and bigger prizes to online players in both states.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
