Angier's Big Win: Poker Pro Shares Tournament Triumph
Andrey "Angier" Pateychuk, a prominent poker player, recently achieved a significant milestone by winning the MiniFTOPS #29 tournament, securing a prize of $146,920. This victory marks a remarkable achievement in his poker career, and he shared his experiences and key moments from the tournament in an interview with GipsyTeam.
The tournament, which had 3,673 participants with a buy-in of $200+16, was a challenging event for Angier. He mentioned that he was in a tilt several times during the tournament and had to take breaks to calm down. Despite these challenges, Angier managed to navigate through the tournament successfully.
Angier had a significant stack early in the tournament but lost a big hand and was left with the starting stack. He recalled, "I made 3-bet with Ax Kx on the flop against forum member Van and put 3 barrels on the board type 6x 3x 4x 4x 5x. On the river, he moved all-in. I had to fold." However, Angier's strategic play and patience allowed him to rebuild his stack and eventually become the chip leader at the final table. He won a crucial all-in hand against drgulogulo, securing his position as the chip leader.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
