Andrey Kotelnikov's Second Place Finish and Insights into Online Poker
Andrey Kotelnikov, a prominent poker player, recently placed second in a $10k high roller tournament on WSOPC, just three months after winning the WPT Online. This achievement has sparked interest in his strategies and insights into the world of online poker.
Kotelnikov mentioned that he only plays the best online tournaments, such as SCOOP mains and Millions on PartyPoker. He also noted that he sold 50% of his stake to Ami Barer and 25% to Konstantin Maslak for the $10k tournament, highlighting the competitive nature of the field.
During the tournament, Kotelnikov faced a challenging structure with deep stacks early on and short stacks later. He described the field as including top players like Chipwick, Timothy Adams, and Michael Adamo. Kotelnikov also shared details about a key hand in the final where Elmelogno bluffed with 72 on the river, and another notable hand in the heads-up where he pushed with 75 against Elmelogno.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
