Anatoly Zyrin Shares His WSOP Strategy and Experiences
Anatoly Zyrin, a seasoned poker player, shared his strategy and experiences at the World Series of Poker (WSOP). He mentioned that he has been practicing various poker games, including Dealer's Choice, for the WSOP. Zyrin noted that he has been playing in Moscow and lost a significant amount of money while learning these games. He mentioned that he played three Dealer's Choice tournaments, including a satellite for the $10,000 event.
Zyrin highlighted that the structure of the satellite tournament was reasonable, with 40 players playing for eight hours until the prizes. He mentioned that the tournament had a deep structure, with the shortest stack being 20 blinds when he was eliminated. Zyrin expressed satisfaction with his performance, stating he played better than expected.
He noted that the WSOP moved from the Rio Hotel and Casino to the Strip, providing more space and better amenities. Zyrin expressed that the new venue offers more space, better atmosphere, and more restaurants. He also mentioned that there were some issues with the air conditioning, but they were resolved. The toilets are also bigger, and the tournament for $500 with 20,000 entries was handled smoothly, indicating that future events will likely be well-managed.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
