Alex Foxen Accused of Misusing Investor Funds in Quasar Mining Group Scandal
Poker player Alex Foxen, known for his achievements in the poker world, is now facing serious allegations. Poker player Roniit Chamani filed a $500,000 lawsuit against Quasar Mining Group, co-founded by Alex Foxen. The lawsuit alleges that Alex Foxen personally convinced Roniit Chamani to invest in Quasar Mining Group, assuring her of the company's success and his personal involvement.
Quasar Mining Group attracted $2 million from 17 investors, with Roniit Chamani investing over $200,000. The lawsuit against Quasar Mining Group's leadership includes charges of illegal enrichment, negligence, perjury, and breach of fiduciary duties. The lawsuit alleges that Quasar Mining Group's leaders, Paul Taira and Nicholas Gubitosh, misused funds for personal gain, including purchasing a luxury apartment and legal services that were never provided.
Maurice Verstandig, known for representing victims in the Mike Postle case, will represent Roniit Chamani in court. The outcome of this legal battle remains to be seen, but it has already sparked significant interest and speculation within the poker community.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
