ACR Poker Launches Weekly Tournament Honoring Chris Moneymaker
ACR Poker has announced an exciting new weekly tournament named after poker legend Chris Moneymaker. The Sunday Moneymaker tournament celebrates Moneymaker's groundbreaking 2003 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event win, known as the 'Moneymaker Effect,' which proved that anyone could become a poker champion by starting online.
The Sunday Moneymaker tournament features a $109 buy-in and a $300,000 guarantee every Sunday at 1:05pm ET, except for the last Sunday of the month when the prize pool jumps to $500,000. The top prize in the $300,000 GTD tourney is about $45,000, while the $500,000 GTD event offers a potential $75,000.
ACR Pro Chris Moneymaker expressed his excitement about the tournament, stating, 'I'm thrilled to have an ACR Poker tournament named after me and be part of this budget-friendly, big weekly event.' The first Sunday Moneymaker will feature a supersized $500,000 guarantee on Sunday, July 28th at 1:05pm ET. Players can secure their spots through two Mega Satellites held that day at 10:05 am ET, with 50 seats GTD ($11 buy-in) and 75 seats GTD ($22 buy-in). Additionally, a Mega Satellite is scheduled before every Sunday Moneymaker tournament, with a qualification path starting from a freeroll ($0) and advancing to Micro Hyper Sats ($1.05, $2.10).

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
