Poker Pro 40and7 Faces Bot Accusations Amid High-Stakes Action
In February 2017, the poker player 40and7 continued to make waves in the high-stakes heads-up No-Limit Hold'em (NLHE) scene. On February 1, 2017, 40and7 played a session against OtB_RedBaron, winning $16,246 in 102 hands. From February 2 to 5, 2017, 40and7 played 1,220 hands and won $119,492, with most of the profit coming from matches against Secret_M0d3, who lost $108,530 in the same period.
40and7's playstyle has been a subject of debate, with multiple players suggesting that his actions are reminiscent of a bot. Spewmonk3y and Fiilismies both compared 40and7's gameplay to that of a bot, noting that his decisions seemed too perfect to be human. In a session against bajskorven87, the latter suggested that 40and7 might be using a bot. However, Dan Bilzerian, who played against 40and7, did not suspect him of being a bot.
Meanwhile, other high-stakes poker events unfolded. On February 15, 2017, Bill Perkins streamed a poker session from his yacht, winning $78.6k in the first session and losing around $50k in the second. Yorick prot0 Urlings had a remarkable day, winning $166,179 in 237 hands. On February 16, 2017, Mustafa Kani played a 7.5-hour session, losing $75,199. Luke Bit2Easy Rivza had an unfortunate day, losing $87,528 in a single hand.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
