2+2 Poker Forum Sold to Hand2Note Creators: What's Next?
On July 14, 2021, Mason Malmuth, the founder of the 2+2 forum, announced that the website had been sold. The new owners are Andrew Plakhotny and Max, who are also the creators of Hand2Note.
The 2+2 forum, which has over 60 million messages, was created in 1997 by Mason Malmuth and David Sklansky. The forum's popularity coincided with the poker boom, when poker books were the primary source of new information.
The new owners have plans to remove all advertising banners and commercial restrictions on the forum. They also mentioned that the current monthly loss of the site is $3,000, which they can cover from their own funds or through sponsored posts in commercial sections.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
