Showdown in poker
Definition
The final stage of a hand when the remaining players reveal their cards to decide who wins the pot.
A showdown happens only if at least two players are still in the hand after the last betting round. The last player to bet or raise shows first; the others follow in order.
If everyone else folds there is no showdown and the last player wins without showing. Showdown statistics, such as how often you win at showdown, are used to judge how a player plays.
Example
After the river bet is called, the bettor shows a flush and wins against a straight.
