Kamloops Man Wins CA$500K and Plans Honeymoon Upgrade
A man from Kamloops, British Columbia, won CA$500,000 from a Lotto Max draw on October 16, 2026. The winning ticket was purchased at Safeway on Fortune Drive in Kamloops.
The lucky lottery player was enjoying his morning coffee when he remembered he purchased a ticket recently. Deciding to check the ticket, the man was shocked to realize that he had in fact won CA$500,000.
The man said he didn't have immediate plans for his newfound fortune, but he's about to get married next year, so the prize will help him upgrade his honeymoon plans.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
